Biography

Rosie Trejo has over 20 years of legal experience with a current focus primarily on personal injury law and related torts. Rosie participates in all aspects of the civil litigation process from the initial client consultation through jury trials and appeals.

Her career in the legal industry started shortly after she graduated from high school, as a law firm receptionist, moving along to other positions while working her way through college. Rosie graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration and a minor in Business Administration. After graduating from the University of Houston, Rosie decided to pursue her passion for helping others by obtaining her Paralegal Studies certification and was inducted into the Center for Advanced Legal Studies Chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi.

In her role as paralegal, Rosie spends much of her time preparing, coordinating, and analyzing legal documents such as pleadings, motions and affidavits, and discovery requests and responses. Rosie’s litigation experience also includes e-discovery, preparing subpoenas, planning for depositions and expert reports, preparing witness and exhibit lists, and mediation and trial binders. She also spends a lot of time talking and coordinating with clients to provide them the best service possible.

Rosie also has extensive trial experience. She has actively assisted attorneys in the courtroom during trial by providing paralegal services, exhibit coordination and presentation, and helping with voir dire analysis. She is also responsible for keeping track of trial exhibits as they are admitted into evidence and witness availability.

Prior to joining Kherkher Garcia, Rosie was a paralegal on the Asbestos and PCB Docket at Williams Kherkher Law Firm. While at Williams Kherkher, Rosie also gained extensive experience in complex personal injury cases, mass tort actions, pharmaceutical cases and toxic tort litigation. In 2019 Steve Kherkher formed Kherkher Garcia, LLP and Rosie Trejo joined his team.

Rosie is fluent in Spanish and enjoys working and interacting with clients. She prides herself in the work she puts in, to helping our clients.

In her spare time Rosie likes spending time with her two teenage boys, family and friends. She has a big heart for the youth community and often times you can find her helping run youth basketball tournaments throughout the city. She is huge sports fanatic and likes to stay active.
