BOLIVAR PENINSULA, TX – A person was injured when a yacht began sinking near the Bolivar Peninsula Monday, according to CW 39.

Four people were on board the 52-foot yacht when it started to sink around 1 a.m. They were rescued by the coast guard, who then transported the boaters to Station Galveston. EMS crews examined the boaters and they were all in stable condition.

One boater sufferred a neck/back injury and was hospitalized at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

It is unclear what caused the boat to sink.
