According to KJAS, four oil well workers were injured in an oil well workplace accident.  They are currently being treated at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Private vehicles escorted the injured workers to the hospital with police assisting them through intersections. The names of the injured workers and their current medical condition aren’t known at this time.

Reports indicate that an employee was able to “shut down the leak without further incident”.

The local sheriff confirmed the workers were sprayed with oil and natural gas during the oil well accident. No further information is available regarding the cause of the incident. We will continue to keep you updated.
