Dakota Eddins was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Lamar University. The son of a respected trial attorney, Dakota was inspired from an early age to pursue a legal career dedicated to advocating for those harmed by the negligence of others. To achieve this goal, he pursued his legal education at South Texas College of Law in Houston.

While in law school, Dakota gained significant experience working nearly full-time at a prominent civil litigation firm. With a temporary student bar card, he had the unique opportunity to argue motions and depose adverse witnesses under the guidance of a senior attorney, gaining hands-on litigation experience prior to graduating.

Before joining Kherkher Garcia in 2025, Dakota represented major insurance companies for several years in complex litigation, including commercial trucking accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases. His background in insurance defense provided him with substantial trial experience and a deep understanding of how large corporations and insurance companies operate. Today, advocating for individuals, he leverages this knowledge to protect the rights of his clients, ensuring they receive dedicated and skilled representation.
